As a pioneer and leader, Comrade Ifeanyi played a pivotal role in establishing the NOUN Alumni Association in 2014, serving as the Secretary of the constitution drafting committee. Our Strategic Plan
1. Research & intelligence:
To clean up our database, ascertain needs of stakeholders (including the school) across demographics and zones and use data to guide plans and actions.
2. Job advocacy: within NOUN and across our institutional networks
3. Brand repositioning: Leveraging
PR to uplift the image and value of
NOUN
4. Stakeholder inclusion:
Carrying members across states (SEC) and zones along.
and leadership with accountability and
transparency.
5. Human capacity development:
To entrench training of
NOUNAA executives, and introduce skills acquisition for
members.
Management Style
The fast-paced realities of modern society require that leaders evolve their style to enable them meet emerging challenges and also deliver results. To this end, the place of technology cannot be overemphasized.
Also, the usual approach of calling everybody to Abuja before decisions are made needs to be reviewed. There needs to be an approach, perhaps hybrid, which accommodates members who are unable to physically attend. We will explore the fullest extent of technology.
These are specific elements in my management style:
- Clear communication
- Empowerment and delegation
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Lead by example
- Continuous learning and growth
- Results-oriented approach
- Supportive and approachable
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Recognition and appreciation
- Decision-making and problem-solving
Conclusion
I approach this quest with profound dedication and thoughtful deliberation. The significance of this role is not lost upon me, as I have invested considerable time and effort in formulating a comprehensive set of programs and initiatives for our esteemed organization. It is with a keen awareness of the immense needs that pervade our membership base and the broader university community across multiple centers that I firmly believe the NOUN Alumni Association (NOUNAA) must emerge as an unwavering bastion of support, making a discernible and measurable impact.
Central to my vision is the establishment of a robust support structure, befitting of an alumni association that
strives to serve its members and alma mater wholeheartedly. Through a purposeful framework of initiatives, we will nurture an environment where our members find solace, assistance, and opportunity for growth.
By actively engaging with the university's stakeholders and collaborating closely with them, NOUNAA will assume its rightful role as a dependable pillar of support, effectively addressing the multifaceted challenges that lie before us.
As I present this document, I humbly invite scrutiny and assessment of my proposed plans. I willingly embrace accountability, as my commitment to you, our esteemed members, and the esteemed institution that nurtured our intellectual journeys, remains steadfast. Together, let us strive to realize the transformative potential of NOUNAA, leaving an indelible mark of progress and distinction that will inspire generations to come.
Thank You
